Meet the Team
Enita Thomas - Owner/ Executive Chef
Enita Thomas is the owner of Mouthfeel Culinary Co. She holds 20 years of restaurant, hotel, personal chef and catering experience.
Born and raised in and around Atlanta she has always had a special place in her heart for southern cuisine. Enita started cooking at a young age in both of her grandmothers kitchens. Whether it was stirring the cornbread batter, shucking peas or adding ingredients into the pound cake, she loved spending time in the kitchen. She started attending culinary classes as an after school program in high school. After graduation she was offered an opportunity to assist with craft services and catering for music videos and greenrooms in Atlanta.
After working in restaurants & doing personal chef services for a while, Enita decided to go back to school and get her degree in culinary arts and food science. She attended Le Cordon Bleu in Atlanta Ga in 2009. After receiving her degree, she went on to work in hotels, country clubs and work as a private chef while continuing to build her network in the industry. Soon, Enita decided it was time to follow a life long dream and become a business owner in the food industry.
In 2013 she founded Mouthfeel Catering LLC.(dba) Mouthfeel Culinary Co. which combined her love for cooking, her passion for catering and of course heritage food! Enita is married to Chef Isaiah Thomas, they have 3 children and reside in Atlanta.
Isaiah Thomas - Chef de Cuisine
Isaiah Thomas was born in New London, CT and raised in the U.S. Navy, which gave him an opportunity to travel and experience an array of cuisines at a young age.
Isaiah came into the culinary industry at age 16 when he attended culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu Atlanta. Coming from a background of chefs, Isaiah felt right at home in the culinary industry. After his graduation at age 17 Isaiah landed an interview with Guenter Seeger and started is his career at Seeger’s.
He went on to work at some of Atlanta’s best restaurants including Joel, KR Steakhouse and Peasant Bistro. When an opportunity became available at The Greenbriar Resort in White Sulfur Springs, WV Isaiah went for it. There he was involved with the Culinary Olympics training program and he was apart of the opening culinary team at The Hemisphere Restaurant. After his time was up, he returned to Atlanta and continued to work in high end establishments.
After spending years in the restaurant industry, Isaiah wanted a change in pace and turned his sights on to catering. Loving the creativity and challenge that catering brought he finally found his comfort zone. Isaiah’s catering style is influenced by his years in the restaurant, classical training and high technique.
When Isaiah isn’t in the Mouthfeel kitchen creating, he enjoys martial arts, listening to podcast, eating at new places, Kung- Fu movies and music.
